If you're going through a time warp to Prodigy maybe the new top-levels like .place don't work yet? You get the error after MAIL FROM because that's the earliest point when a server is allowed to 550. The thing that puzzles me is that "domain.alph733" in there. I don't know what that is. If you're sending that in the HELO / EHLO then that is an error.
