I think those pages are generated by code in ./mailman/Mailman/Archiver, but you'll have to look for where the archive index.html page is generated and add the HTML code for the search. I can not help with that.
I choose Mnogosearch because of its ability to support russian character encoding
OK, any decent search engine should support UTF, which will pretty much include all encodings.
