Like good ole boys lets try it out and see where we go.  The simplicity of the
Forum is what is appealing - so lets heed Artin's path and take it from there?
I suggest we don't discuss this any further.

The pulse and heart of the guidelines are in the following two paragraphs.
They are only 2-3 lines, in my judgement, they are highly demanding and puts
lots of pressure on members to comply.

4. The group is not moderated: each posted message is self-moderated as each
member strives to preserve harmony among its peers, ensures that their postings
conform to non-adversarial norms of discourse and upholds accurate
representations of facts and events. Members monitor and regulate collectively
the flow of exchanges for quality.

5. Members agree to refrain from questioning a member’s sincerity or integrity
by speculating on their character or personal motivation for advancing an
opinion or fact.

Subject: [24April] Proposed 24April Guidelines

The updated 24April Guidelines are attached as a proposal for collective
perusal.  They capture essentially the same goals as before with improved
wording. The disclaimer paragraph 8 is new.  We can discuss them for a few days
for further revisions. Once adopted, we will place them on the group’s website.
