Arguably, not removing the moderator unsubscribe request when the user is unsubscribed by other means is a bug, but as has been announced multiple times, most recently at https://mail.python.org/archives/list/[email protected]/thread/D54X2LXETPMVP5KZNM2WP6Z6UOPJXSVD/, Mailman 2.1 is end of life and `convenience` issues such as this will not be fixed.
