Subject: Loving like Jesus!
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as
I
have
loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know
that
ye
are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
The above verses come from John 13:34-35. This is the only
commmandment
of Jesus that He specifically calls new. The significance for us
however
is
fact that Jesus said to love each other as He loved them. We can't
decide
to
love one another based on our own ideas on how love is but on the love
that
Jesus showed. This is something that can be very hard for us. The
blessings
of loving as Jesus loved (giving of Himself)are greater than we can
imagine.
Let us all live our lives remembering the love of Jesus for us and then
showing that same love to others.
