Hello! Please check out my friends list! If you join, let them know which
list you found it on and spread the word!
Description
Aaron's Action Challenge:
I am learning as much as I can about social justice,
environmental issues (and solutions), politics, etc. This list
server, to be initially known as the 'Action Challenge', is my
outlet for relaying the things I have learned. The goal is for
me to do some preliminary background on an issue, and pass the
savings to you. I email, via this wonderful list server, some
sources for info, a contact person, and some type of action you
can take (once you've made up your own mind on where you
stand!). I refuse to say what is ultimately 'right', but may
give my opinions. I will be eager to receive more info and
commentary back from you.
Now, the challenge part is thus: You take this topic and run as
far as you want. It could be as simple as dropping a 21-cent
political opinion type postcard in the mail, to the address I
provided. If the topic sparks your interest, go further with it
doing your own research. Start a journal of when you have
written, and to whom. Keep any replies you get in a binder. I
predict this challenge will be published approximately every 3-6
weeks.
If you have a piece of information that contradicts or is a good
addition to something I stated, by all means send it to me.
(alternate viewpoints always exist)

Subject: Guns-N-Violence - Is there a Connection?
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
This is the list to discuss Guns-N-Violence in the US and around
the world.
And even though the list name is Guns-N-Violence that doesn't
mean that we will Only talk about Gun Related Violence. ANY
Violence which affects the way we live in society is fair game!
Whether it is about Rioting after a Championship Game or
muggings in Central Park! This is the list to discuss it!
Many seem to believe that the "Right To Bear Arms" is an excuse
to keep weapons in the hands of criminals. What do you think?
Does the death and destruction wrought by Guns in the hands of
those the government deems unworthy to bear arms outweigh the
individual's need to keep and bear arms?
Has the Violence in America and around the world taught us
nothing?
Guns breed death and destruction... or do they? Don't guns in
the hands of an intelligent armed citizenry provide more
security for themselves and their neighbors?
Who decides what level of security is necessary? How much
Violence will we have to experience before the rest of the world
realizes the Truth and acts upon it?
School shootings have the media in a frenzy but what are the root
causes?
How will those who survive till the end of the 21st Century view
those who lived at the beginning of the 21st Century? Will we be
remembered as having permitted the erosion of freedom or as the
instigators of a more enlightened era of human existence?
Spirited Discussion is encouraged. Keep in mind that everyone is
entitled to their own opinions. If it reaches a point where
Flames seem the only solution, please agree to disagree and move
on to another thread.
Posting of resources is also encouraged but please be sure to
provide links to any sites to enable follow up research by the
other list members.

Hey font collectors,
Normally the way you collect fonts are by downloading one by one from font
sites. That can be time consuming and annoying, even with download
managers.
I have therefore started a new mailing list which has the purpose of
giving
you zip files - fontpacks - jammed with fonts each week.
No more one by one downloading!
Join Fontpacks at http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/fontpacks or subscribe
directly by sending an email to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
