New York Women's Business Support Online (NYWBSO) is dedicated to the
support of New York Women in New Media -- whether wannabee, just starting out,
or established.
The group's mission is to establish a network of women who can
cooperatively and interactively discuss all business-related
issues. Issues include: brainstorming new business ventures, legal
issues, copyright, copyright infringement, negotiations, advice on job
searches and refocusing skills, personal growth in business, resources,
mentoring, alternative methods of learning, industry events and discounts,
and much more.
NYWBSO's membership is limited to women in the Tri-State Area (New York,
New Jersey, and Connecticut). The purpose is to enable and encourage women
with similar business interests and goals to meet and network with each
other in person.
No question is too silly or too trivial. All questions are welcome, as
long as they are related to the group's focus.

HTML-Haven Learning Gazette. The Learning Gazette focuses on *alternative

As an added benefit... We even offer a fully searchable secure password
protected archive of all the list's messages. The group's archives have
grown to be a strong knowledge-bank of information that is at your disposal
as a list member. The list is secure and the archives are only open to our
member base.
We have worked very hard to make everyone feel welcome and to create a
friendly professional atmosphere where one can ask whatever questions they
are faced with -- 24/7. You will NEVER be told to RTFM -- This is a
NON-issue at HTML-Haven.
We are a group that helps, not turns people away in their time of
need. The only stipulation as far as questions... They MUST be related to
web design/development issues. Some topic examples are: the Internet,
email, browser compatibility/incompatibility, copyright infringement, web
research, search engines (on or off site), site promotion, your promotion,
marketing your list, how to market your services, or anything else that is
somehow related.

Photoshop-Haven caters to -- anything -- Adobe Photoshop and it's
plugins. We plan to bring the novice and professional together to share
ideas and become more proficient using this dynamic program.
I have learned... Art can be found anyplace, anytime, under any
circumstances. I have even taken to carrying my digital camera with me
everywhere. The ugliest picture/image can be turned into a beautiful
original design using the proper filters -- both built-in and plugin.
The *only* limits in designing digital art are the limits one puts upon
themselves. Won't you join us so we can continue to create beautiful
artwork together -- and learn from each other. The best tips and
techniques that I use daily were gained by asking strangers how they
achieved a certain affect, and them unselfishly sharing with me.

Welcome one and all. If you are serious about fiction writing, and improving
your technique and craft, then this very well may be the group for you. We
welcome writers of all experience and skill levels, from the already published
to the novice, just starting out. We welcome writers from genres across the
board, from romance, to true crime, to sci-fi, to fantasy. We are based in Long
Beach, California and will meet regularly to receive submissions, critique works
in progress, and to discuss the elements of fiction writing such as plot,
character, and setting. The interactive format of this workshop will allow all
of us to gain knowledge and skill as we absorb the experience of fellow authors,
and use it in our craft. While the format may seem daunting and intimidating at
a first glance, if you are serious about writing, this workshop can help you
immesurably. For the focus of this group will be to offer encouragement,
support, suggestions, and constructive criticism. Leaving your ego aside, while
difficult in the face of criticism, is essential. And we will all benefit from
it. This is a wonderful learning experience for all of us involved, we will have
a great cross-section of writers from different skill levels and different
genres, and the sole purpose is to help us ALL improve our craft. While there
will be a lot of hard work, don't worry there will be a lot of laughs along the
