the Sept 11th Attack on the WTC are big topics of discussion. If you need a

With Wars and Political unrest making the headlines, I wanted to provide a
forum for discussing the events that are transpiring around the world.
Perhaps this will help provide a better understanding for those of us who
aren't directly involved in those events. How will history look upon these
current events?
Or any other events of current Political interest? NATO? The Middle East?
Russia? China? The Pacific Rim? OPEC? Osama bin Laden?
No Flaming allowed but spirited discussion is encouraged.

Do you have a list that you want to announce? Or are you sick and tired of
having to log in to YahooGroups each and every time that you want to find a
new list? Well, this list is to announce lists produced at YahooGroups;
Topica, SmartGroups, and others are also welcome.
The list is Moderated, all submissions must await approval.
Hundreds of members! Great Lists!
The rules:
1. No profanity, swearing, etc.
2. All posts must be to announce new or existing lists/newsletters.
3. No Spam, BizOps, MLM, Pay2Surf/read, 'offers to sell/buy', etc.
4. Submissions must follow the Standard Submission Guidelines:

Below is an excerpt which explains far better than I could
hope to the basis for the stories, it comes from the cover
page on the copy of the book that I have:
J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings is a chronicle of the
Great War of The Ring, which occurred in the Third Age of
Middle Earth. At that time, The One Ring, the Master of
all the Rings of Power, had been held for many years by the
Hobbits, but was eagerly sought by the Enemy who made it....
The Fellowship of the Ring begins the story of that Great
War with the discovery of the nature of the Ring, and the
flight of Frodo - unwilling heir to the One Ring - from his
own land, closely pursued by the Dark Riders of the Enemy.
It tells of the Great Council at which it was decided that
the Ring must be destroyed. Frodo is appointed the
Ringbearer, and he and eight companions set forth on a long
and perilous journey, beset by terrible dangers, not least
of which is the temptation to use the Power of the Ring and
so be corrupted by it. For their task is to return the Ring
to Mordor, the country of the Enemy himself, and there to
destroy it in the only way possible: by casting it back
into the Fire from which it came.
