How would it be different than just looking at Inbox, since all those messages are addressed to me? The only difference I can see is if there's a message in my Inbox that is addressed to, say, undisclosed recipients.
Or any well-run mailing list (e.g. this one) that does not put individual recipients' addresses in To/Cc headers.
The utility of this depends on how you manage your email and what sort of mail you get. For example, in the past 2 weeks I've received over a thousand messages via mailing lists like this one and another 50 from automated systems that send mail that ends up being delivered to me without any receipient header that is strictly mine. Thanks to tools grown up over many pre-MailMate years these mostly don't hit my Inbox but if I didn't have a bespoke mail server with a long procmailrc serving my personal addresses and robust server-side filtering for my work addresses, they would. And the "Personal Inbox" view would give me a clean view of the few dozen messages actually sent to *me* in that time rather than the whole unruly flood.
