I'd go for Brett Terpstra. He's a Markdown fanatic and loves low level tweaking. I think MailMate would be right up his alley. Also, while he's not on 5by5, Dr. Drang also has a lot of influence among the alpha nerds. He doesn't do paid ads, but if he's intrigued by MailMate, he'd write about it.
