Well, more like a less-than-optimal feature. When you select text in the message view then MailMate has to “convert” the selected part of the HTML to plain text. This does not work well for all messages (depending on the sending email client). When replying without a selection then MailMate uses the plain text body part which always works (since the formatting of plain text is, almost, standardized).
So if you were to enable "Prefer plain text" in the Viewer preferences, this situation could be avoided?
