when I searched in some folder for something and change to another

Question: Why?
This is by design. I usually perform a search and when I'm finished I
want to return to where I started, but you are not the first to raise
this question and I'm aware that it is unexpected behavior for some
users.
Just want to give my vote for making Esc for search just remove the
search criteria and not change the current folder selection.
I *can* though in some cases see the value of Esc "going back", thus I
would suggest maybe make that behaviour available when doing
Alt/Option + Esc ?

I'm with Benny on this one. If the search is going to take me to All
Messages when it starts, I definitely want it to go back to where I was
when I'm done.
