I always use app-specific passwords for my Mailmate installs for my
Gmail account. As far I am aware, Mailmate doesn't support Google
2FA.

thanks peter. i am using an app specific password for mailmate but for
some reason it seems to "forget" the password and i need to generate a
new one.
