In theory, reduce the number of devices/clients accessing the account.
By default MailMate uses at most 3 connections and the Gmail maximum is
15.
But I'm guessing you already tried that. MailMate has had issues with
Gmail in the past under certain network conditions, but I thought most
of these had been resolved. We can debug off list if you like and in
that case it's a good thing if it happens very often for you ;-)
