This was very interesting to read. Thank you! Your use of smart mailboxes looks a lot smarter than mine and I'm going to try it out. :) Until now, I used smart mailboxes as targets for searching. I never considered using them as actual "working" mailboxes. I did my work in the source mailboxes where sieve files my mail. Now I've now also set up an "Important unread" and "Mailing lists I care about" structure. I've taken to using the "submailboxes" feature to keep that manageable.
