FastMail is an e-mail service, something like Gmail. Those two and
Runbox are the only three services with a "bus factor > 1" that let you
use your own domain name, rather than the service's own domain name (as
with Yahoo Mail).
FastMail is in Australia, but was briefly owned by the Opera browser
people. Runbox is in Norway. FastMail and Runbox are IMAP based, and
Gmail uses an undocumented proprietary variation of IMAP, called GIMAP.

What is Fastmail? Do you use it instead of or in conjunction with
MailMate? I just looked at the website for FastMail and it looks very
clean and maybe simple. Any information appreciated.

Hello,
I use FastMail, which I have set to do its own saving of sent mail.
Is there a way to turn this behavior off in MailMate for my "Sent
Items" folder so that I don't get duplicates of every sent message in
there? I'd rather let FastMail's servers handle this.
Thanks in advance,
Josh
