Hi guys, I just set up a new smart folder to identify emails that I call "unsorted".
In my current setup, using POP3 only, I have had a bunch of rules moving all identifiable incoming emails into a set of mailboxes, leaving in the IN box leftover misc mails for me to process.
We are talking about maybe a dozen or two emails daily out of an average of 280 emails I get daily (which can be up to 350 per day).
Using IMAP with MailMate, I keep all mail in the INBOX (actually INBOXes), using smart folders for identifiable emails. However, this makes those few unidentifiable emails invisible and some of them are important (think client sending an urgent email using their private not business mail account).
Simply using "unread" is not an option for me since I read only 44% of incoming emails (yes, this is actual statistics).
I thus created a smart box that is using "none" of any of the smart mailboxes with identifiable mails and conditions not seen, not deleted and not junk. This seems to work exactly as desired.
However, since I set this mailbox, I started getting spinning pizza regularly when I switch between mailboxes. It spins for like 10-15 secs then goes away. Of course, this is notacceptable considering that I constantly switch mailboxes.
I suspect that having a smart mailbox depending on the content of a set of large smart mailboxes is causing that.
Anybody has seen that? Anybody has any idea how to implement this better? Robert _______________________________________________ mailmate mailing list [email protected] https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
