I'll bet you are on to something there. In TextExpander, snippets can be assigned to one of these types: ![](cid:[email protected] "PastedImage.png")

And pictures can't be included in Plain Text snippets.

I wonder how TextExpander implements this. I would assume it's done
using the pasteboard, but in that case I don't see why it wouldn't
work since both pasting text and images in MailMate should work.

I'll note to try it out if/when I have time.
