I think I had asked about exactly this a while ago. Ever since, I've been using Little Snitch, as some of you suggested, to block all connections most of the time and it works decently well. However, this still bugs me. I don't like that I have to trick Mailmate into behaving how I want it to behave. I strongly agree that this should be an actual Mailmate feature.
