One question though: Instead of moving the message, can’t we delete the duplicate message?

First, I'm glad to see that the problem of duplicate sent mails with Office365 is something that others experience. When I raised it with Benny, I believe he was unsure whether many did.

Second, I have dealt with the problem in a relatively simple way using a rule on the sent messages folder:

(All) of the following are true
       (X-Ms-Exchange-Organization-Expirationstarttime) (exists)
(Move to Mailbox) (Sent Dupes)

This files the duplicates in a folder that I periodically have to expunge. The choice of header was arbitrary among those peculiar to the duplicates.
