Preferences->General->Messages Folder lets you specify a location for
the message cache. It does this by creating a directory named
com.freron.MailMate wherever you specify with a subdirectory named
Messages. It also makes ~/Library/Application
Support/MailMate/Messages a symlink to that new Messages directory.
It may be possible to manually reproduce that model to move any of the
other items in ~/L./A.S./MailMate/ (e.g. Database.noindex) elsewhere.
I would expect that replacing anything there with a symlink to an
existing file or directory elsewhere would work.
