Hi Marc,
I use text snipped expansion for this. Example, if I type “;br” it
automatically expands to “Best regards,”. This works anywhere where
one can type in text, not just in Emails. I find this much more
convenient than any email program feature, also for my signature, for
example.
There are different ways to set this up. One is built into MacOs, but I
find that not very convenient. There also is a commercial software
(Textexpander) that I used for a while, but it nowadays is unreasonably
expensive. What I use now is ”Alfred”, a general helper tool that
has all kinds of interesting features, and among them text snippets.
