If I understand, you have a domain and have changed the provider that
operates the IMAP and SMTP servers. Your old provider still hosts all
your old mail, but no longer accepts outbound mail. Is that right?
Do you have two accounts, one with the old server settings to access
your old mail, and one with the new server settings to access new mail
and to send outbound mail?
So the problem is that when you read old email, a reply gets sent using
the old SMTP server, which refuses it?
If I've understood, you have a few options. One option would be to move
all your old mail from your old IMAP server to your new one, and then
delete your old account.

Hi,
Asking for help rather than trying something out because I don’t
want mess it up.
I moved a domain email to G Suites from my hosting provider
Siteground. I get email fine. Sending is a problem because I can’t
tell which of the email accounts I’m using in the “From” box :
they both say annama...@sharinghousing.org. I don’t want to delete
the Siteground account because I need the emails I got before the
transfer. It’s a problem because if I choose the wrong one, the smtp
server rejects it. As I write this.. Maybe I should simply put in the
new smtp settings for the old account??? OR? Can I fix the label in
the from field somehow?
Hope this is clear. Thanks for help.
