This little utility, [ShowClipboards](http://www.tempel.org/ShowClipboards) from Thomas Tempelmann, might provide some useful diagnostic info for specific clipboard scenarios on individual users’ systems.

On my system, selecting a paragraph in Microsoft Word yields a long list of different “flavors” (around 30) on the clipboard. Many of them are apparently private flavors that the Microsoft Office suite uses to communicate internally, and I assume they are ignored by MailMate, but maybe some contain image (PDF?) data.

so - i now conformed that its when I copy from URL field in opera that things does not paste. I can see in launchbar that it is not just text but a entry of type URL. This worked in the old editor.

So, I've just run some tests and it seems to me that this is MailMate's problem. The clipboard is showing RTFText (Finder -> Edit -> Show Clipboard). The text is pasted as text in the subject line but as a bitmap into the composer.

Benny: is this sufficient or do you want screenshots?
