Yes and No.
The root issue seems to have been either I or the upgrade process caused
the software to forget where to save attachments. So it was some null
location which causes the crash.
It took absolutely ages to realise this and once I reset it (to my
desktop, YMMV) it has worked without a problem.
I am on 5757 and everything appears to work except:
Occasional beach balling - sometimes temporary, sometimes long enough
that I force quit and restart the app
Command/MailMate/Change Subject sometimes causes the app to crash,
more if I attempt to do it for multiple mails at the same time
