From what I can see, this preference-pane shortcut manager allows you
to add bindings to menu items, but not to disable binding to items that
aren't already listed in the pane (and there are many built-in
system-wide bindings that aren't listed). For my case, (which is not
particularly worth anyone's time, FWIW) I need to disable the existing
binding, so MM can claim it for a series of actions defined through its
own plists, not for an already-defined menu item. At any rate, it is
easier at this point to choose different keys than to muck with this.
