I'm fine with the attachments column as is. I'm not sure what you mean
by "enabling importance." If I want to send a message with it, I use the
drop-down to enable 'X-Priority', but in my experience no one pays any
attention to it.

Randall,
I get it. Also somewhat problematic as to both, the flag and
importance are shared in one column, as are status (unread, forwarded
and replied). Could it be that those shared columns are in some ways
more important, hence larger?
Since Benny and his team have chosen to include so much flexibility,
not sure about all of that flexibility being necessary but if it is, I
would agree that those leftmost could be in some way more adjustable
than they are (currently neither in size of the icon nor column
widths, though they are draggable in position).
As said previously, in my perfect world the particular sizes of those
icons is good as is. Particularly, the rightmost column, signaling
only an attachment. From what you say, I think you have no objection
to that?
How do you enable importance, BTW?

My apologies: I meant to say that the status and flags are the two
left-most columns.

The columns to the right are resizable by dragging, but the status

Hi Randall,
In MM v1.14, both Test Builds, r5898 and r5899 show the column
widths in the Message window adjustable and the icons everywhere
normal looking to me.
May I suggest you try saving your settings, then removing and
reinstalling the app and save your previous settings without having
MM open? I have found this useful as a general cure-all, for
settings gone awry. (There’s a How-to in the Help menu>Rebuild
Database>How to transfer MailMate Settings…). I use this when
installing MM on test builds of new MacOS as well as
troubleshooting. Maybe Benny has other advice, but that has worked
for me in the past.
Good luck.

I updated to 58999 and the new status icons look gigantic. I'm
using the three-pane view (mailboxes on left, table of contents on
right, message view below). The column widths don't seem
adjustable so I can't shrink the status column. Is there a way to
switch to smaller icons?
