Jenna,

Whom was this message directed to? Perhaps some context that might help the rest of the list should be provided. Otherwise, taking it privately to the target of this might have been better.

I’ve looked back through threads and the ticket tracker looking for ‘salty’ responses/behavior from anyone that has been part of this thread that you’ve replied to and I’m not finding anything.

We all know how busy Benny is. His one man feat of engineering is not lost on most of us. I’ve been a Mailmate user for 10 years now and Benny has never let me down and (besides there being NO competitor to this great piece of software) is what keeps me a supporter.

Thanks,

Steve Mayer

Try Beta 5.  As for MM release? You have been making comments about the lack of releases and support lately in the forum, perhaps it is because you are not aware that Benny is doing this ON HIS OWN. Please place yourself in his shoes before being salty about what you perceive support and release timings to be.

Steve,

Sorry to say, I cannot replicate what you’re reporting. But your issue
should be forwarded to Benny.

As to what I see, in my install of M-M, the menu when a message is
selected, (right click>Junk State>options) has **BOTH “Junk” and
“Not Junk”** checked! This is true fro any selected message in the Inbox. So I would agree that is weird, since no junk is filtered in M-M. In my case, it comes pretty close - having for years used SpamSieve for
junk mail filtering.

Here on my virtually unattended Mini, Apple Mail running SpamSieve 3.0 b4 (beta) on a MacMini 2020 M1 to accomplish with Remote Training. That lets other machines drop suspected spam that get through easily. I’m
told the new SpamSieve build 3.0 supports MailMate, however. Michael
Tsai (developer of SpamSieve) says he will continue to support MailMate.

If there is a final imminent release of MailMate, I may try it using
SpamSieve, but that seems way off.

My set up on the MacMini does all the filtering outside all other device applications (both for mobile devices using standard iOS Mail apps and
other Mac like the MBP, both mobile and desktop connections.

So, I don’t use MM for ANY junk filtering. It can, I suppose, but it
simply isn’t worth my time to try, plus a clean inbox is much too
valuable to give up what works.

Take your point on experimental builds 1.14(r5978), though. R5975 seemed a bust having caused crashes on my machine (MBP2021 M1Pro) running MacOS
13.5.1 (22G90) and apparently others, too.

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden

I’m currently using r5978 on Ventura 13.5.1. I’ve noticed
something in the latest few test builds related to the status of the
“Junk State” of the messages. No matter where or what the message is, Right Clicking on the message and choosing “Junk State” always
shows the ‘Junk’ entry with the checkmark. I used to be able to
choose Junk or Not Junk, but I seem unable to be able to modify this
selection. Anyone else seeing this?

I’m also using the latest SpamSieve if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Yep, I'm running MM r5975 on Ventura 13.5.1 with SpamSieve and see
identical symptoms.
