I had a similar issue reported not so long ago. This involved an email with HTML using the iframe-tag (which should not be used in emails) although the actual trigger was probably CSS-styling which based the height of an element on the height of the view itself. Due to how MailMate displays multiple HTML views in a single scroll view, this resulted in an infinite loop repeatedly increasing the size of the message view.

I'm not sure my (unreleased) fix for this issue will handle all cases. If possible, you are welcome to send me the problematic email using Help > Send Feedback. You can disable the message view before selecting the message and then drag it out of MailMate and compress it with the Finder before sending it to me.

(And sorry for the lack of updates recently. I'm busy working on setup/release/server-related issues and not MailMate itself.)
