This is what helped get me mil usual gmail account working, however my google workspace email with my domain name in it is the one that is causing problems.

You could try the following:
- make sure that there is NO network connected to your Mac (Wifi-of, . . .)
- start MM
- take “off-line” all source IMAP folders (or you could start by taking off-line the sources)
- take online one folder at a time

Eventually you could start MM from terminal and check what is logged there
