I didn't know this, but it's possible to temporarily opt-out of the design 
changes for now and I'll do that for the next update because some parts of 
MailMate do not work well with the new design (yet). Apple will most likely 
remove this option in the future though.

(It's not possible to let the user decide between the old and the new design. 
At least not without providing separate downloads.)
