I had imagined that you would process them on the way in, not on the way out. Filter them as they arrive, provide them with a background colour or a flag so that you have a more visible signal alerting you to the presence of no-reply addresses.

Hi Randall,

That request sounds like something I'd appreciate.

It also feels like something that can be personalised with incoming mail rules. I'm racing to get away from my desk and into work so I can't offer anything immediately. Perhaps someone else here can offer a rule that formats incoming mail or that works on outgoing mail.

Hi Malcom,

I think this really needs to be a built-in feature that is able to pop up a warning dialog, similar to the existing attachment warning.

I did try adding a rule on the "Drafts" virtual mailbox:

Conditions:
[any] of the following are true
  [any address] [contains] noreply
  [any address] [contains] no-reply
[any address] [contains] do not reply

Actions:
[Play sound] [bark]
[Set Tag/Keyword] [Bad Address]

However, it doesn't work as expected; it appears that new compositions don't go into the Drafts virtual mailbox until they are sent or saved, so the rule can't be triggered until much later than one would desire.
