When I option-click the "Check for Test Build" it tells me r6290 is the most recent build. Obviously not, but I wonder why it's not signalling the more recent builds?

Hello Andras,

Although not immediately addressing your problem, I would still recommend to try last available test build 6292, I’ve been using it since release and is very stable imho.

r6292 can be found on https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/

Succes!

Hello everyone,

I am using MailMate 6272 with a mailbox.org account, and I am running into a fundamental problem when trying to export my emails in decrypted form. I am hoping someone on the list might have insight or experience with this setup.

My mailbox.org account uses Mailbox Guard, which applies server-side encryption to all incoming emails. While I can read my emails normally (via webmail and in clients), any attempt to export them (MBOX/EML) results in files that remain fully encrypted.

What I have tried so far:

Exporting emails from IMAP clients (Thunderbird, MailMate) → exports remain encrypted

Offline/local IMAP storage → still encrypted

Client-side OpenPGP / GPG-based decryption workflows → not possible, as the client never receives decryptable PGP blocks

Looking for a Guard-side “decrypt/export” option → none available

From what I can tell, Mailbox Guard decrypts messages only at display time, and the decrypted content is never exposed to IMAP/POP3 or export tools. This makes it impossible to obtain plaintext emails client-side while Guard is enabled.

My question to the list:
👉 Is there any known workaround in MailMate (or elsewhere) to export emails decrypted when using mailbox.org Guard, or is disabling Guard and performing server-side decryption the only possible solution?

Any guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Andras
