Hi, I'm currently testing some of my configs and stumbled over the following Text:
"identity alignment result is fail and alignment mode is relaxed" it comes directly from this Outlook.com Authentication-Results Header: > Authentication-Results: hotmail.com; > spf=pass (sender IP is 193.169.180.109; identity alignment result is fail > and alignment mode is relaxed) [email protected]; > dkim=pass (identity alignment result is pass and alignment mode is relaxed) > header.d=test.farm; > x-hmca=pass [email protected] Same Mail to gmail.com brings up this: > Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; > spf=pass (google.com: domain of [email protected] designates > 193.169.180.109 as permitted sender) [email protected]; > dkim=pass [email protected]; > dmarc=pass (p=NONE dis=NONE) header.from=test.farm I know that besides spf=pass any additional content of this header line is more or less "freetext", but the Outlook.com line "sound" negativly to me, so the Question is: Besides the Fact that 5321.From and 5322.From is not identical, is there something wrong with such a setup or am I too paranoid about this? Kind regards, / Tobias Herkula PS: Our current customer setup is to send mail from a Subdomain (o.test.farm) in this case, but I want to allow our customers to use their organizational domain as 5322.From without getting this confusing "on behalf of" in some MUAs. -- optivo GmbH Head of Deliverability & Abuse Management Wallstraße 16 10179 Berlin Telefon: 030 / 76 80 78 129 Fax: 030 / 76 80 78 499 Email: mailto:[email protected] Website: http://www.optivo.de Linkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/tobiasherkula Handelsregister: HRB Berlin 88738 Geschäftsführer: Peter Romianowski, Ulf Richter, Thomas Diezmann optivo ist ein Unternehmen von Deutsche Post DHL Group _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list [email protected] http://chilli.nosignal.org/mailman/listinfo/mailop
