+1.

Without some hint as to the space in question ... I'm sure the range is very
obvious to you, but the rest of us can only guess, and we won't.

Aloha,
Michael.

Subject: Re: [mailop] Microsoft Blacklisting IPs

You might like to share the IP(s) that you are concerned with to the list. We
are seeing more and more, a trend where email providers are getting more
aggressive with hosting providers known for allowing spammers to set up shop.

Hosting providers are going to have to start improving the ways they monitor
their own networks, and the types of customers they are allowing to set up
shop, or you can expect MORE providers just 'blocking'
providers until they clean up their email practices.

Also, it is incumbent on large hosting providers to keep up accurate SWIP
and/or rwhois records when delegating IP(s) and IP ranges to potential
customers. (Per ARIN/RIPE guidelines on these matters)

And especially with recent rulings, and CASL legislation etc getting more
aggressive with penalties, it won't surprise me when the providers are seen to
be 'partly' "responsible" for the activities of their customers and their
networks.

(Frankly, always have been surprised that especially in the US, with their more
aggressive legal system, that actions haven't been taken against some of the
well known 'havens' for spammers.)

I always remember the one hosting company I talked to, about monitoring their
networks, and his statement that they don't monitor their customers, because
"..they can't be responsible for what they don't know.."
