I receive the "Service not available - too busy" every day, every time,
since years (including today). Friday the 10th the weird thing was delayed
delivery (e.g: 10 minutes waiting at each "." before accepting the
message): maybe you have low timeouts on your side and your retries hurted
some of their filters and they blocked you.

Note that If you use a low session timeout when their servers are on they
knees then you'll end up delivery the same message over and over again and
this may lead to complaints and blocks.

You didn't answer when do you get that "Service not available - access
denied": at the connection? After the EHLO? After the MAIL FROM? the RCPT
TO? Or the "." at the end of DATA transmission?

We currently use 6 concurrent connections with no issues (had to increase
them from 3 to 6 because of their very long delays).

Interesting you got answers from them! Which address did you wrote? @
telecomitalia.it  @tim.it @telecom.it  other ?
