So I guess some of the domains generated in the above email are so bad
they generated bounces from around 220 list members. The vast majority of
them were from gmail:

TIL: mailchimp, mailerlite and a bunch of email sending providers
outsource their corporate email to gmail.
In short please avoid sending stuff to this list that may trigger spam
filters.
