I would prefer to use a file mapping List-IDs to the folders I wanted to name it as. Additionally, you might want to automatically report anything not listed as a subscribed list with a message stating that it is not in your records to have subscribed to the mailing list <foo>, and asking where did they get your data from, which could surprise more than a few companies.
Kind regards PS: I wonder what would happen if you were sentyou an email with List-ID: <../../../../../../../../home/brandon/.config/autostart> you may be discarding anything after the first dot, and the new subfolder may protect you anyway against a file injection, but...
