I'm in the same boat. What's frustrating is that we end up with "see this support.proofpoint.com/dnsbl-lookup.cgi URL" in the deferral message, but it reports that the IP is not blocked. My assumption, here, is that they don't report "oh we're only deferring" as blocked but… that means there's no clear means for escalation.
