There is an often-unnoticed tie to one's Hotmail account (if one has one)
which can deliver this issue. I found it necessary (when I worked at
Microsoft) to use a "private" or "anonymous" web browser session for support
forms if I had ever used the browser to access one of the freemail accounts I
maintained.
