It's definitely a non starter for e-mail. Linode does the same but their guide is 10x more helpful so I reckon there's
much better odds of it working
Sadly, neither DO nor Linode gets a real grip on those of their customers who either are being exploited or are
deceptive spammers themselves. DO is perm blocked here (with the option to whitelist individual IPs when justified) due
to their non-responsiveness to abuse reports, and Linode is very close to it.
