Hi,
some days ago I moved my private box from Hetzner to Clouvider. Seemed like a clean IP (according to Hetrixtools etc), even T-Online unblocked it without issues, but after accessing Microsofts SDNS a hassle began:

* Mails are considered as Junk due to user complains
* I created a ticket and told I did not use the IP before 27.11.
* They asked for a proof that I did not use it before - the invoice did not fulfill the requirement, they wanted a mail from Clouvider which proofed the IP assignment * After sending such mail, they told me that the block was potentially caused by mail forwardings and that I should confirm to comply to Hotmails technical standards * I replied that I did not send any mails to them and did not use the IP before. But I confirmed to comply to their standards.

But no luck:
"As previously stated, your IP (xyz) do not qualify for mitigation at this time. I do apologize, but I am unable to provide any details about this situation since we do not have the liberty to discuss the nature of the block.

At this point, I would suggest that you review and comply with Outlook.com’s technical standards.

We regret that we are unable to provide any additional information or assistance at this time."

So why did they even ask for a proof of the IP assigned and confirmation to comply to the Hotmail standards as afterwards they say they can't unblock it because...

Regards
Bjoern
