The IETF runs a lot of mailing lists, which I think many of us subscribe to. The mail will shortly be moving to a new server at Panix in New York, both the mailing lists and the transaction-like mail about the status of documents and such. It's not like a giant ESP, but the overall volume is on the order of 50K messages a day.
Here's the new IPs if you want to pre-emptively tweak your filters. They're already in the SPF record. We haven't sent IPv6 mail for a while but we should start sending from our new /64 to systems with IPv6 mail servers. ip4:166.84.6.31 ip4:166.84.7.238 ip6:2602:f977:800:f7f6::/64 R's, John _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list [email protected] https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
