Hello all,

I am working with a customer who's DNS provider won't let him add DKIM
keys as they say records with underscores go against RFC 1035.

They also can't delegate the _domainkey zone to us for the same reason.

I did tell him it was worth noting that section 11 of RFC 2181 states:

"The DNS itself places only one restriction on the particular labels
that can be used to identify resource records. That one restriction
relates to the length of the label and the full name. [...]
Implementations of the DNS protocols must not place any restrictions
on the labels that can be used. In particular, DNS servers must not
refuse to serve a zone because it contains labels that might not be
acceptable to some DNS client programs."

I've yet to hear back on their thoughts regarding the above, but I'm
curious if it's just an overly strict/pedantic DNS host, as I
personally have never run into this...
