However, it's more probable that it's just a brute-force guessing of email
addresses. I have seen such attempts, which were easy to recognize, as the
came in sequences like"a2321@...","a2322@...","a2323@..." etc.
I've always thought it was some million-address CDs seller who inflates
the addresses they harvested by adding counterfeit variants.
