Why the hell does Google make possible to add someone to a Google group
without sending a confirmation request, or at least a notification, to the
recipient in question???

The only scenario I see in which this could be allowed are enterprise
Google Workspace domains, and only for addresses within this domain, as this
may be useful for creating various employee groups within the company (eg.
corresponding to departments etc.) and asking user for confirmation in each
case would make no sense and be counterproductive. But certainly not for
random addresses...
