Exempting the list host is straightforward: whitelist 91.132.147.157. But what
if the IP changes? Perhaps one can avail of dnswl. Mailop has
policy.ip=127.0.4.2, which means:
4 – Organisations (both for-profit [ie companies] and non-profit)
2 = medium – make sure to avoid false positives but allow override for
clear cases (-10.0)
What about the second option, exempt the list itself? Perhaps via List-Id: For
mail operators <mailop.mailop.org>? But if this option becomes widespread,
setting that List-Id header would become an attack vector.
Some time ago I would have asked why mailop didn't add an ARC set to forwarded
messages, but ARC will now be deprecated[*]. However, adding a DKIM signature
would still provide a signed List-Id, although it wouldn't tell whether mailop
complies with author domains' DMARC policy.
This question surfaced the list a few times[†][‡], but no determination has
been made. Any news?
Best
