Maybe the "Launch Service" database has a problem. To rebuild it, you can try this:1) Stop Safari/Mailplane 2) Open Terminal 3) Enter this command to repair the launch service database:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user Does it help?
