Thanks for the article. Using Gmail in Mailplane should be safer than in your browser. Here are a few tips: - Enable "Use a secure connection" (https) in your account settings to encrypt all traffic with Google. There's also such a setting in your Google account settings. - Passwords are stored in your keychain - Make sure you have a secure password consisting of numbers and special characters. - Change your password from time to time. - Only Google and Remember the Milk pages are opened in Mailplane; all other URLs are opened in your preferred browser - There are no extensions/Grease Monkey scripts that can read Gmail cookies and communicate them to other servers. Newer GreaseKit versions do not allow this.
