Hi there, I'm a long time user back to the days italian universities weren't automatically recognized by the discount system (hi Ruben!) :)
I'm experimenting with mobileme to get, with a workaround described here ( http://el8.org/2008/12/08/iphone-and-mobileme-pushing-gmail/ ), push email from a GMail account. Long story short (check the link if you want the details) I set up GMail to forward a copy of new emails to my @me.com account, which has the possibility to PUSH emails to the iPhone I own. That is: push GMail on iPhone. The down side of this method (here it comes Mailplane) is that I don't get warned of incoming emails on my desktop, since to avoid emails duplication (IMAP works no longer with forwarding, AFAIK) I set up GMail to archive new messages, or to mark as read incoming emails. So, I'm asking: is there a method to let Mailplane warns me of incoming emails even if they are automatically archived or mark as read? OR Is there a way to get IMAP working with forwarding emails? I hope you'll get me out of here... waiting for GMail to concede us PUSH (I'm willing to pay for it!) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mailplaneapp" group.
